Dr Bita Fox

Bita qualified from the prestigious Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1999. Having got into her first-choice university in 1994, it was a dream come true, but over time she felt her studies lacked substance, too mechanically focused and with too little biology in their clinical application.

By her final year she had developed an interest in the toxicity of the materials used in dentistry, amalgam being the most prominent. She published a detailed paper on the topic, studying systematic reviews that consistently failed to conclude the exact impact of mercury in amalgam fillings within the human body. Soon enough, amalgam use in Swedish dentistry was banned.

Bita has never been afraid of challenging the prevailing dogma, even after moving to the UK in 2001. She has extensive experience across private practice, with a prevailing influence in guiding patients towards a metal-free approach, and also provides cosmetic treatments such as Invisalign and teeth whitening.

In 2014, after starting a young family, Bita qualified with a Masters degree in restorative and aesthetic dentistry. She wanted to focus on a more biological approach, with a particular interest in infections of the jaw and how they impact overall health. She has a deep respect for kinesiology and functional medicine, and believes there is so much more the public can be educated on.

Today, at Munro Hall Clinic, she feels at home, fulfilling a rewarding role helping people with varying health issues find resolution through toxin elimination and a natural, biological approach.
