Holistic Care, Advanced Technology

A natural-looking, healthier option

These white-coloured dental implants are designed to blend with the surrounding teeth and gum tissue, all while removing the concerns associated with traditional metal dental implants. Their translucence and optic properties make them virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Our skilled team of dental experts, led by Dr Bita Fox, has embraced zirconia implants for their ability to integrate smoothly with the jawbone while minimising the risk of inflammation or allergic reactions. Every treatment plan is tailored specifically to you, ensuring that we align with your unique health needs and aesthetic goals.

Why Choose Dental Implants

Restore form, function & freedom

A well-placed implant does more than fill a gap. Dental implants could:

  • Restore your smile
  • Restore the strength of your bite
  • Allow you to eat with comfort
  • Let you choose what you want from the menu again

The Zirconia Difference

Added advantages of zirconia

  • Durable
  • Aesthetically pleasing
  • Biocompatible
  • Metal free

Thanks to their translucence, optic properties and white colour, zirconia implants look more natural, can be used in areas with thin or thinning gums, and reduce metal usage, ideal for those interested in holistic dentistry. After 20 years of implantology development, two-piece zirconia implants are now available too.

A Metal-Free Approach

Potential benefits of zirconia

Zirconia dental implants could offer a range of advantages, particularly for patients who prioritise a holistic and metal-free approach to oral care:

  • Biocompatibility: Metal-free and hypoallergenic, which means it could be a good choice for patients with metal sensitivities or allergies.
  • Natural integration: Studies show zirconia fuses with the bone just as effectively as titanium, providing long-lasting stability and support.
  • Customisable design: Each implant is designed to match the unique structure of your mouth for a personalised fit that enhances function and appearance.
  • Healthier for gum tissue: Zirconia retains less plaque and tartar than titanium, reducing gum inflammation and promoting healthier soft tissue.
  • Aesthetic excellence: No unsightly dark lines near the gum line: zirconia’s natural white colour gives a seamless, radiant smile.
  • Durability: A strong material known for its resistance to fracture, offering long-lasting tooth replacement that withstands daily use.

The Cost of Waiting

When you lose a tooth, a few things happen

Teeth begin to drift

The teeth either side of the gap begin to tip, and the tooth opposite the gap begins to over-erupt. All of this can start to affect your bite and the way your teeth meet.

Problems compound over time

Left unaddressed, over a few years all of the teeth start to drift, causing problems biting and sometimes even headaches.

The only way to resolve this is to replace the missing tooth to stabilise the adjacent and opposing teeth, which at the same time prevents additional bone loss from the extraction site.

An Honest View

Potential considerations

As with any dental treatment, it’s essential to weigh both the pros and the cons. Zirconia implants, while offering many benefits, do come with certain limitations:

  • Material strength over time: though incredibly durable, zirconia may degrade slightly as it ages.
  • Limited long-term studies: titanium has been studied for decades, while zirconia is newer, with research focused mainly on short-term (two to three year) survival rates.
  • Surgical precision: zirconia implants require precise placement; if not positioned ideally, performance could be compromised.
  • Limited availability: as they are still relatively new, not all implant providers offer zirconia.

Safe & Well-Tolerated

Complications & care

Though zirconia implants are generally safe and well-tolerated, some complications may arise, including gum irritation, teeth sensitivity, or, in rare cases, chipping of the porcelain restoration.

These occurrences are relatively uncommon, and our experienced team is committed to minimising risks by providing the highest level of care before, during and after your procedure. Patients travel from around the world for these advanced treatments, confident in our ability to provide compassionate, cutting-edge care.

An Investment in Health

Understanding costs & longevity

Zirconia implants could be an investment in your long-term health. Due to their advanced manufacturing process and the specialised skills required for implantation, they tend to be more expensive than traditional titanium options, from £3,500. For many patients, the potential health benefits, aesthetics and peace of mind that come with a metal-free, holistic option make zirconia well worth the cost.

Dr Bhavin is also an expert in his field, often able to place implants where others can’t thanks to his bone-grafting skills. In terms of longevity, zirconia implants could typically last 15 to 20 years, similar to titanium. While further long-term research is needed to confirm their durability beyond two decades, current findings suggest zirconia is a reliable, lasting choice for those seeking a natural, biocompatible dental solution.
